REC-Caucasus as Implementing Partner of the UNIDO Project on Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production (RECP) in the framework of the EU4Environment Action funded by the European Union, opens a call for expression of interest for National Experts on RECP assessment in, Armenia
The EU4Environment Action funded by the European Union aims to help the six partner countries, i.e. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, preserve their natural capital and increase people’s environmental well-being, by supporting environment-related action, demonstrating and unlocking opportunities for greener growth, and setting mechanisms to better manage environmental risks and impacts.
Building on important achievements of the former EaP GREEN Programme, UNIDO will continue to promote and build national capacities to enable SMEs in Armenia in switching to a Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production. In addition, UNIDO will identify opportunities that can support the creation of circular value chains and raise awareness on the opportunities and benefits of Circular Economy at the national and regional levels among enterprises, the government and the civil society.

SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
RECP Expert will act under the direct supervision of the National Project Coordinator of the EU4Environment - Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production project in Armenia and in close cooperation with project Technical Experts to undertake RECP assessments for selected manufacturing SMEs. The assignment includes carrying out an in-plant-assessment following the RECP methodology including use of resources data analysis, assessment of inefficiencies, technical, economic and environmental evaluation of measures to reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency. The assignment also includes coaching of companies’ staff, adopting RECP impact evaluation, and monitoring of identified measures implementation in demonstration companies. RECP expert will be expected to contribute to the overall promotion of the RECP demonstration project in Armenia. Full description of tasks and Terms of Reference are enclosed:
